I graduated from Manchester University after studying Business Management with Media
and completing an Internship at WHYI-FM (Y-100) in South Florida.

After presenting at Kix 96 in Coventry, I joined Galaxy Birmingham and produced "Radio Stars"
winner of the Commercial Radio Award for Marketing Excellence in 2001.

As well as producing imaging and promotional trailers for the station, I became a regular presenter on Galaxy
during my four years at the station including full time Saturday Breakfast and cover presenter for Weekday Evenings.

I joined Beacon Radio in 2003 as Station Producer and within 12 months the station had received a nomination for Station of the Year at the Sony Radio Awards.

"Lively, innovative and local... Beacon ... has a fresh and sparky sound ... Its production values are of a high standard across the output and it involves local people in interesting and unusual ways." Sony Radio Awards 2004

I produced news packages leading to the winning of two IRN awards in 2006 and 2007 and contributing to a
news nomination at the 2007 Arqiva Awards.

My production of "Caught in the Crossfire" (a news documentary on gang violence) and
"One Million Pounds of Work" (a campaign following the collapse of Rover) led to two awards at the
2005 Arqiva Awards for Programme of the Year and Social Action Initiative.

The latter was also been nominated for a 2006 Sony Radio Award whilst "Bring a Bra to Work"
(which raised money and awareness for Cancer Research) was nominated for a
Community Award at the 2005 Sony Radio Awards and a further campaign received a nomination at the
2007 Arqiva Awards.

Since starting at Beacon Radio, the West Midlands' service has gone on to be nominated for "Station of the Year" at the Arqiva Commerical Radio Awards in three consecutive years, winning the category in 2006 and being nominated again in 2008.

The Shropshire service won "Station of the Year" for the Midlands region at the Radio Academy's
Nations and Regions in 2008 and received "Station of the Year" (TSA <300,000) at the
2009 Sony Radio Awards.

In 2010, Beacon received two further Sony nominations for "Yvette's Early Christmas" in the Community Award category and "Midnight Drop" in the Competition Award category for which I created the imaging and produced.

I was also recognised for my Station Imaging with a nomination for Station Sound at the 2009 Arqiva Awards.

My production of "Gone in 60 Seconds" won Best On-Air Imaging for a Promotion on UK Radio at the
Promotion and Marketing Awards (P&Ms) in 2008.

My work for the station's promotion "4 Weddings or a Funeral" was recognised with two nominations at the P&Ms in 2007, whilst "The Bostin' Black Country Awards" received three nominations at the P&Ms in 2009, and "Walk of the Black Country" received a nomination at the P&Ms in 2010.

I produced Beacon Radio's Newsnight Special "Auschwitz" which won the Bronze Award for Best News Documentary Special at the New York Festival Radio Awards in 2010 and a Silver at the United Nations Department for Public Information Awards.

I have produced imaging and production for Galaxy (Yorkshire/Manchester/Birmingham/North East), Beacon Radio,  BRMB, Mercia, Wyvern, Gemini FM, Lantern FM and Severn Sound.

As well as being producer and on air contributor to Beacon's West Midlands' Drive show during 2008 and 2009 , I presented weekday early breakfast for over a year, and have been a cover presenter for daytime and weekend shows on the Shropshire service as well as on Gold (The Black Country & Shropshire) during 2009.
